Who has access to my security question's answers?
Please note that this solution only applies to subscribers of a CertifiO Desktop digital signature (hosted on .epf file or token). If you are looking for a solution for a CertifiO Cloud digital signature (hosted on Notarius’ secure cloud), click on this page.
No one has access to your answers. When you fill out the online subscription form, a one-way hash function is applied to each answer, thereby creating a message digest. Then, whenever you must authenticate yourself with your security questions, this message digest is used to compare your answers, confirm that they match, and give you access to your account.
