I can’t activate my digital signature.

Please note that this solution only applies to subscribers of a CertifiO Desktop digital signature (hosted on .epf file or token). If you are looking for a solution for a CertifiO Cloud digital signature (hosted on Notarius’ secure cloud), click on this page.

Two common reasons:

  1. Your corporate firewall blocks communications to our servers. Ask your technical support team to consult our Firewall configuration article to troubleshoot the issue.
  2. CertifiO Manager is not installed or not working. Consult the troubleshooting page.
  3. The Entrust client isn’t installed. You can download it here: Notarius – Download our software : CertifiO, ConsignO API, etc.
  4. The reference number isn’t valid since it was autofilled by your web browser. Please be sure to enter the 8 digits number you received by email, not the email adress.
  5. There is a special character in the file name (à, é, è, ô, etc.) You can change the file name to delete it or change it to something else.
  6. Your password isn’t secure enough. Please choose a password that fulfills all the following conditions:
    • Not forbidden words: password, notarius, etc.
    • No first, middle or last name
    • No logical sequence (123, 321, abc, cba)
    • No triplet (111, aaa)
    • At least 12 characters
    • At least one uppercase
    • At least one lowercase
    • At least one digit
