Notarius to Portage CyberTech Branding Transition FAQ

1 – When will the transition begin?

The new Portage CyberTech website will launch on January 23, 2026, marking the start of a branding transition involving the Notarius brand. Some Notarius materials will be updated at launch, while additional content and visual elements will be updated gradually throughout 2026 as part of a phased approach. During this period, the Notarius brand will continue to be used where appropriate to ensure clarity and continuity for our customers. This branding transition does not involve any change to the Public Key Infrastructure (PKI). All trust services, certificate hierarchies, and cryptographic identities remain exactly the same as they are today.

2 – Is this a legal name change?

No. Solutions Notarius Inc. remains the legal entity and continues to hold all certifications, contracts, and accreditations (ISO, SOC 2, eIDAS, etc.). There is no change to the legal entity name appearing in digital certificates, including the “O=Solutions Notarius” field used in all certificate profiles.

3 – Will my certificates, signatures, or documents remain valid?

Yes. All existing digital signature certificates, validation processes, and archived documents remain unaffected, fully valid and legally recognized. No action is required on your part. The Distinguished Name (DN) of certificates, certificate chains, object identifiers (OIDs), CP/CPS references, and trust anchors remain identical. No certificate reissuance or migration is planned or required.

4 – Will there be any changes to my products, integrations, or support?

No. The same platforms, APIs, and integrations will continue to operate normally. Your support contacts, service levels, and pricing remain unchanged. Product names currently used under the Notarius brand, including ConsignO, ConsignO Cloud, and CertifiO, will continue to be used.

5 – Will pricing change as part of this transition?

No. Pricing remains unchanged. This branding transition does not affect your subscriptions, fees, or renewal terms.

6 – Do existing contracts or terms need to be updated?

No. All existing agreements, service level agreements (SLAs), and warranties remain fully in force. Because the legal entity (Solutions Notarius Inc.) remains unchanged, there is no requirement to amend or renegotiate existing contracts. Future agreements and renewals will continue to reference Solutions Notarius Inc. as the contracting entity.

7 – Why is this branding transition taking place now?

The organization has been mindful of the strong recognition of the Notarius brand, which is why this branding transition is being implement gradually. More than three years after the acquisition, this step reflect the operational reality of an organization operating under a unified brand identity, while maintaining its existing legal and regulatory structure. This approach helps reduce confusion and simplifies communication, procurement, and compliance activities.

8 – What are the benefits for customers and partners?

A unified brand presence and website, will make it easier to access information, support resources, and documentation related to our digital trust solutions. The branding transition improve clarity and consistency, while maintaining long-term stability and continuity of services.

9 – Will my data continue to be hosted in Canada?

Yes. All data residency, storage, and processing locations remain in Canada. Our security, privacy, and compliance practices are unchanged.

10 – How does this affect Québec clients and our French-language obligations?

This branding transition does not alter any legal obligations under Québec’s language requirements. Solutions Notarius Inc. remains unchanged as a Québec-based legal entity, including the continued operation of its Montréal office. Customers will continue to receive bilingual service from the same local teams, and all communications will continue to comply with the requirements of the Charte de la langue française.

11 – How does this affect audits and certifications?

All existing audits, certifications, and compliance frameworks (ISO, SOC 2, Law 25, PIPEDA, eIDAS) remain valid. Our Legal and Compliance teams are coordinating directly with auditors to update branding references only where required. Because this is a strictly branding transition, all PKI practices (including CP/CPS documentation, identity verification processes, certificate profiles, and audit evidence) remain unchanged.

12 – Will there be any service interruptions during the transition?

No. The branding transition does not involve any system migrations or infrastructure changes. Your services will continue to operate normally without interruption.

All digital signature certificates, workflows, validation processes, and archived documents remain fully valid, fully compliant, and legally recognized. Your tools, authentication process, and day-to-day usage remain the same, with no action required.
